Etiquette
Please do not bring friends to your piano lesson. No toys are to be brought to the studio and electronic games are to be left at home.
It is a policy to wash your hands at the studio before you start lessons.
There is a great cat named minim, and she is my teaching assistant.
1. Please be on time - your scheduled lesson time is the time slot you have paid for. If you are late, your lesson will still end at the designated time so as not to disrupt the schedules of other students.
2. Warming-up is essential! You may warm up at home just before your lesson. Musicians are like athletes – to prevent injury, we need to warm up our muscles, too!
3. I like students to bring a notebook to each lesson so that homework can be written down. Forgotten books create inconsistency of results so it is expected that all materials should be brought to each lesson.
4. All students must purchase a metronome for use during their practice time at home.
5. Students are expected to practice daily! Please aim to practice achieving goals in each practice session each day. As you become more advanced, your practice time will increase. Practicing prepares you for your lesson, just as I prepare to teach you!
PARKING – Parents are not to park on the common driveway or drive up the driveway for any reason. Parking, drop-off and pick-up is restricted to Chandler Road only.
